Ecology/Inpotaance of Ecology

 ECOLOGY-----   IS A  BRANCH OF BIOLOGY THAT DEALS WITH THE STUDY OF INTERACTIONS AND INTERRELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ORGANISM AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT 

ENVIRONMENT----    comprises lithosphere hydrosphere and atmosphere 

The term ECOLOGY was coined by German scientist ERNEST HAECKEL (1869)..

🧿  IMPORTANT OF ECOLOGY 

1*) ADAPTATION >>> ALL organism are adapted to their environment they cannot flourish in another environment 

2*) CHANGES IN ENVIRONMENT >>》living being bring about chang in there environment like moderation of temperature building of soil, increased humidity periodicity of rain fall etc..

3*) ATMOSPHERE >>> it I'd.  Not only aprotective shield  over ore planet but also a resource .the same has been built up largely by the activity of living being .degradation of ATMOSPHERE is fought with extrem danger .   

4*)  TYPE OF PLANT >>> It provide information as to the types of plant which can be grown in an area ...

5*)  EVERY ORGANISM IS IMPORTANT >>no of howsoever obnoxious, is usually. EVERY ORGANISM is a liner in food Chain and a component of web of interrelationship of biotic community .

6* ) POLLUTION.  >>  it is harming not only human being  present. In the area of origin  but also having a long term effect  on the ECOLOGY  through degradation of soil ,air and water qualities and poisoning  of biota every level 

7*) ECO-CITIES,TOWNS AND VILLAGE. human habitable areas must be free from. All type of pollutants and contaminants There should be plenty of fresh water ,air and sun this can be made possible only by converting the parents cities towns and villages into green or ecocities,ecotowns and ecovillages.

8*) ORGANIC FARMING. ECOLOGICAL STUDIES .>>> have shown that excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides is harming the ECOLOGY therefore their use is being reduced and the concept of organic forming is catching.  up . 

9*) HABITAT DESTRUCTION. >>>  in order to expand human activities Natural habitats havs been destroyed indiscriminately .A. number of wild plant and animals have disappeared. It also has an adverse effect on climate ,soil and water resources. Therfore, various type of conservation, strategies have been adopted. 

 Eg ,biosphere reserves, national park and wildlife sanctuaries 

10*) SUSTAINABLE EXPLOITATION OF RESOURCES >>>>  exploitation of natural resources should not be beyond their sustainability other wise development will end up in catastrophe.

Population, explosion has led man to encroach  upon otherwise  unsuitable habitats. Sofe  disposal of radioactive wast meterial is a problem.these involve ecological principles hence a full knowledge  of ECOLOGY necessary for the survival for race ..........
